“You have to keep breaking your heart until it opens.” – Rumi
Erin moves through life as a Certified Trauma Sensitive Yoga & Movement Facilitator, Writer, Student of Somatic Studies, Educator, Learner, and most gratefully, a Mother.
She is interested expanding our hearts and re-arranging our thoughts, to create more room to move, breathe, live and most importantly, to love ecstatically.
She began using yoga and breath technique with children in her first Preschool class as a way to transition them into nap time. It was these young spirits that inspired her to pursue her yoga instructor certification that led to her creation of her first program, S t r e t c h i n g Kindness.
From here, she obtained certification for Baby & Me, Children’s Yoga, 200hr Teacher Training, Pre natal, Trauma Informed Yoga Training, and graduated her 300hr TCTSY Certification Program, where she focused her final project on Creating Safer Spaces, One School, One Office, Once Classroom, One Playground at a Time.
Prior to the pandemic and closing of the studio space, with three other lovely women she helped run FlowerCityYoga and Now Yoga & Movement on Titus Ave.
With a degree in Psychology, Erin grew a strong interest in play therapy and the curious mind of a child. She implements play into her daily life, and has made it her occupation to nurture the young creative mind, as well as setting free the creative and playful child in each adult she works with. Her classes are an invitation to play, to express, to be and to rest in our bodies. She offers a space to lovingly return to the root of ourselves.
Er is captivated by the sky and loves a good cup of chai tea as she marvels at this infinite and ever-changing painting we are gifted to live under each day. She feels we are all artists, and the most fascinating art we can continue to make and create together, is the art of loving.
